Nook by name, nook by nature. A snug retreat on the edge of Dartmoor, within reach of the sea with an open plan living, kitchen, dining area overlooked by the galleried mezzanine bedroom. There is also a downstairs shower room. Maximum use has been made of the small space occupied by The Nook. There are extensive communal grounds for taking a stroll around in the evening or for finding a sunny spot to relax in. For the energetic there are tennis courts and a boules court. The Nook is the prefect base for walking, climbing, golf (on the Wrangaton Golf course next door), equestrian activities, lounging on the beach or visiting local attractions in Dartmoor, Plymouth, Totnes or the English Riviera. Please note, the kitchenette contains a microwave with grill and an induction hotplate, but due to fire regulations in such a small space, it is not possible to install a cooker. Interaction with guests
We are usually around, living next door, but prefer to let our guests enjoy their holiday without any interference from us! We are always happy to help if there are any problems, if guests have forgotten anything, need any help with anything in The Nook or need a little bit of local knowledge. There are occasions when we are not available, but guests are provided with a mobile number and email address so that we can be contacted if need be.

About the neighbourhood
Ivybridge is just over a mile away. A picturesque village straddling the Erme. Take a walk along the banks of the river or enjoy a coffee over looking it. There are regular markets championing local produce and crafts, a leisure centre, library and a number of pubs and take aways. South Brent is a few miles in the opposite direction and there are a couple of nice pubs, cafés and shops. Cheston Farm Equestrian Centre is 1 1/2 miles away. Holiday livery is available, as are riding lessons. Wrangaton Golf Course is 5 minutes away for keen golfers.
Getting around
There are a number of national cycle ways close to The Nook. The Moor is accessible on foot. If you want to venture further afield, car is the best way to travel. There is a bus stop 5-10 minute walk away and buses between Torbay (the English Riviera) and Plymouth stop every 30 minutes.
