A chance to spend quality time with loved ones rather than being shoulder to shoulder with the hoards. The park is small and quiet and located a few minutes from the centre of Dawlish Warren resort.More

We try to welcome our guests personally to show you where everything is in The Lord Myte and (if you need them) give you directions to local spots to visit and eat out. We are local so are at the end of the phone should you need anything during your stay. If you cannot leave home without the most important family member do not worry as well behaved doggy guests are welcome.

Situated in a quiet park, this is the place to go for a very relaxing break! Everything you need and the view over the Estuary is absolutely fantastic! Bus routes and train station nearby should you wish to visit other places, local supermarket, Chinese and pubs which do great good if you choose not to cook! A must, if weather good is to do the walk along the sea wall into Dawlish!

The Lodge is well appointed and was nice and clean on arrival. Unlike many of the other lodges it benefits from having a lovely view over the Ex estuary towards Exmouth. We found the Blue Water Park to be well maintained and a very quiet and peaceful location to stay. The nearby Dawlish Warren makes for an excellent beach for a walk.

Fab stay in the Lord Myte. Everything has been thought of, from snuggly blankets to tea, coffee and milk. Well equipped, comfortable, gorgeous views, walking distance from good pubs. What more could you ask for?

Loved it here, a warm welcome from Ruth on arrival and an unexpectant cream tea got us off to a perfect start, the view from the caravan lounge window is superb towards the ex estuary and the decking also offers the same beautiful landscape. The caravan is equipped to a very high standard and is extremely comfortable it is also well placed for an easy five minute walk to the bus stop, or pub and ten minutes to Dawlish Warren. I have already booked for a return trip and would not hesitate to recommend this as a holiday destination.

This is the first time we have stayed at The Lord Myte, we stayed at The Lady May last year and both caravans are truly beautiful, so clean and all the Little homely extras are fantastic. Ruth the owner goes beyond the call the duty to make you and your family welcome, she is absolutely lovely and so friendly. The views are amazing, as were the scones and cream which Ruth left for us! The Lord Myte was amazing, we enjoyed being there so much whilst there we book another 7 nights in August, canโ€™t wait to come back.

Stayed here for a couple of nights over the bank holiday. The accommodation is excellent with fabulous views and close to all amenities. The owner is a lovely lady who has thought of everything you need to have a fab stay. The decking is great to sit on and is also handy for your dog to run on and not escape. It is only a few minutes walk down the hill to the beach and many places to have something to eat.It also has a lovey walk along the sea front in which you can walk to nearby Dawlish. Would recommend and would visit here again.Ruth the owner also left us some lovely scones and cream on our arrival, very tasty!

About the neighbourhood
A short cycle along the coast is Starcross where you can take a ferry to Exmouth to watch the kite surfers at play or carry on up the path that hugs the River Exe towards Powderham Castle and the ancient Roman city of Exeter. Did you know they have re-built Dawlish Warren beach? Sand by the (very large) bucketload once more stretches for miles. Walk along the sea wall to infamous Dawlish - site of the seas mastery over steam train tracks. Feeling fit? Walk on to Teignmouth (home of Muse) for a Victorian promenade and take the tiny ferry to Shaldon a tiny nugget of quintessential quaintness with it's own mini zoo.
Getting around
The train station at Dawlish Warren gives you easy access to the South West be it short jaunt up the line to Exeter or a longer trip down to Cornwall. The local train journeys are some of the most scenic in the country and are very popular with our guests. The area is popular with walkers and cyclists and there is electric bike hire available near by (well Devon does have the odd hill).
