West Beach is a beautiful, self-catering apartment, ideally located right next to the beach & harbour of the historic, bustling market town of Musselburgh. Yet you'll be keen to come back and relax in the peace & quiet of the apartment, and enjoy it's stunning views over the beach, the harbour and the Firth of Forth. West Beach is a 2-bedroomed apartment: one double (en-suite) and one twin, with a sofa bed in the lounge, so can sleep up to a maximum of six people. West Beach is a 2-bedroomed apartment: one double (en-suite) and one twin, with a sofa bed in the lounge, so can sleep up to a maximum of six people. It has a fully equipped kitchen, with range oven & hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine, kettle & toaster. There is a large-sized lounge with large, floor length windows, looking out over the beach, the harbour and over the sea. It is equipped with a 32' digital smart TV, complete with freeview and Netflix, and free WIFI is available to guests. There is also a DVD player, Nintendo Wii console, a selection of DVD's, Wii games and books to borrow. Finally, not forgetting the bucket & spade, beach toys, beach towels and wind break for you to take to the beach, There is also a children's play area directly between the apartment and the beach - lots of fun to be had in there! There is a free, secure, underground allocated car parking space, which is also suitable for storing bikes, and there is also plenty of off-road parking. There are shops and a supermarket within a 5 minute walk of the apartment. Musselburgh has numerous cafes, bars and restaurants, with The Quay Bar & Restaurant being situated directly adjacent to the apartment. There is a bus stop, with regular buses going to and from Edinburgh city centre, just 200 metres from the apartment, and Musselburgh train station is just 1 mile away. Musselburgh itself boasts a vibrant history as 'The Honest Toun', celebrated each year at a week long festival at the end of July. Musselburgh is also famous for its race course which is a regular hive of activity all year round, the Edinburgh Cup and Ladies Day being two of the jewels in the racecard crown in June each year. Intertwined within the racecourse is one of Musselburgh's most famous golf courses - The Links - at which Mary Queen of Scots is said to have played. A very accessible, albeit challenging 9-hole course, open to the public. Musselburgh also has a sports centre with swimming pool (if the sea is too cold for you!) and 4 newly redeveloped tiger turf tennis courts, which are open to the public at set times throughout the year. Musselburgh is aslo lucky enough to have not one, but two renowned ice cream makers - Luca's and Di Rollos: you will have to visit both parlours to choose your favourite! This is the perfect location to base yourself for the best of all worlds: a convenient base for accessing the bright lights and culture of the Festival City of Edinburgh, combined with the pleasures of coastal living in the friendly town of Musselburgh, and the beautiful rural landscape and coastline of East Lothian at your disposal too.More
