Sitting in a quiet village on the west coast of Lewis, this recently refurbished detached cottage offers comfortable accommodation and panoramic views of East Loch Roag. All rooms are on the ground floor, consisting of living room with armchairs and sofa to curl up on at the open fire. There is freeview TV, DVD, CD player with ipod dock, as well as a plentiful supply of books, board games and playing cards for rainy days. There are two bedrooms, one with king size double bed the other has twin beds which can be joined to form an extra large double bed. All have good quality mattresses and bed linen The bathroom has modern toilet, washbasin and corner shower with overhead and handheld shower heads as well as body jets. The cottage is comfortable and well appointed. There are several ancient monuments near by and good coffee at the Alpaca croft near Callanish Standing Stones. Headland walks are stunning. There was one loch full of lilies and they were just all flowering. Back to the...More

A well equipped cottage. Very comfortable bed and efficient shower. Good cooking facilities. Convenient to many of the historic attractions, and for beaches, fishing, bird watching and walking. Perfect base for discovering Lewis. Isobel was very friendly and helpful. Added plus of large garden which was nice to sit out in.
