’HUNISH’ cottage will be open, ready and available for you anytime from 4.00 pm on your arrival day. It doesn't matter what time you arrive after that as the house keys will be left inside. All linen and towels you will need are provided, along with the basics to make yourself a cuppa and breakfast.

'HUNISH' Coastguard Cottage at Duntlm is situated on the north-eastern peninsula of Skye - called Trotternish. We believe it to be the most beautiful part of the whole island..... it has everything! The coastline is simply stunning from the broad sweep of sands at Staffin Bay to the dizzy heights of the famous cliffs at Kilt Rock. There is something to discover along almost every inch of the coastline and nearly all of it can be walked. The Rubha Hunish headland at Duntulm on the very northern tip of Skye is among the most beautiful and dramatic places in the whole of the british Isles. It's also a great place for whale watching!
Getting around
If you are keen walkers or cyclists or just want to 'chill out' and relax in your lovely holiday home, then a car is not essential. There is an excellent local bus service running daily (except Sundays in winter) which will get you around Skye. A car however, is certainly the best way to explore everything that Skye has to offer... it's bigger than you think! Distances: Uig Village & Ferry Port (shops, petrol, pubs & restaurants) - 8 miles. Staffin Village (shops, petrol. cafes & restaurants) - 7 miles Portree (the capital town of Skye) - 20 miles
