Recently awarded 5* rating by Visit Wales, along with cycling and walking awards and nestling next to a 16th Century Old Rectory 'The Cwtch' is a stunning, contemporary cottage, built at the foot of a Norman Motte and Bailey Castle mound and 100 yards from a Norman church which still serves the local community twice a month, with the remains of a Roman camp just 200 yards, steeped in history. The Area is steeped in history, boasting a Norman 11th century Motte and Bailey castle mound, a Norman Church (which is said to be built on earlier foundations and still holds services twice a month) A Roman military camp (Gadlys) and a 16th century Old Rectory (the owners property) which is in a picturesque setting, backed by ancient woodlands and surrounded by leafy lanes which are ideal for Walkers and cyclists, with close proximity to Llanilid Film studios.
