Casa Agualuna is like no other house in Granada. This beautiful new home has so many unusual and fun touches, we don’t know where to begin! As you enter the home, you encounter a comfortable and inviting living area, a great place to watch TV or read a book. Like all colonial style homes, the main focus of the house is the indoor garden and surrounding corridors. Casa Agualuna surprises you with a raised living area, surrounded by water and the mango shaped swimming pool. The colors are vibrant with a Mexican flare that is fun and exciting. There is a beautiful open kitchen overlooking the garden area which is fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy a meal with friends. Perfect place for a group
Casa Agualuna is a pretty house located on one of the main streets in Granada with an easy walk to most everything. As with most of the buildings it has been tastefully restored from its rich historical past although not architecturally compliant to code. The bedrooms are quite comfortable with AC and ceiling fans. Even the bathrooms have ceiling fans. Lighting in the bathrooms was adequate. Our party consisted of four couples so we thoroughly enjoyed the spacious courtyard and kitchen. There is a separate living room equipped with a large TV if someone wants to take advantage of that. The pool is deceiving as it gives the illusion of being totally shallow throughout, however, is deep on the far half and the water is delightfully cool. In fact, it was too cold for one person in our party to venture in. The kitchen is large and supplied with plenty of utensils and dishes. There were some minor details that the owner might want to attend to. As with most of Central America, there are no exact addresses which necessitates denoting an address as so many meters east of such and such, another number of meters north of some landmark, etc. The directions that were given were poor, in fact, so poor that we spent hours driving around trying to find it. I would suggest naming the Puente Papa Q as it is only steps away from that bridge on Calle Liberdad. Secondly, there was only one set of keys supplied which presented a problem for four couples. We had to forfeit hours of our time tracking down someone to give us extra keys. Thirdly, a barbecue grill would have been nice but sadly there was none. Some of the reviews mentioned that electricity is charged extra; however, to date I have no knowledge of a separate electric bill.

Thank you for your review of Casa Agualuna. I am happy you enjoyed the house and have made a change to the directions we are giving. We have also addressed the challenge with the keys. We hope to see you again in the future.

Don't stay here
Casa Aqua Luna may be the nicest house in Granada. I went on many house tours and there is nothing to compare. A wonderful design, great decoration, and very comfortable. A beautiful pool. An excellent maid. However there is a dog next door that barks day and night. It is owned by english speaking people who have no regard for their neighbors. You can't take a siesta nor can you sleep through the night. The other problem is the electricity. We never used the a/c. There were just 2 of us in 1 room. We turned off fans and lights. Yet our bill was $346 for the month. No, I would NEVER stay here again.

It was a pleasure to have you as our guest! Absolutely, Casa Agua Luna it an amazing house with a unique design. We very much regret that you have not enjoyed your stay due the barking dogs, but unfortunately we do not have control on the neighbors’ pets, which is out of our hands. In fact your electric bill was U$153.28 not U$346.00, your electric bill was lowest compared with another invoices.

Beautiful House, OK Experience
Had an ok stay at Casa Agua Luna. If you are not familiar with Granada don't be afraid to ask for directions the roads are really confusing and there is a lot of one way streets that made it difficult to find the house. The house is large and looks just like pictures posted. Daily housekeeping was a plus, the lady was really nice. Only real issues I had was one night during our stay we had no water or light. It does state on contract that they are not responsible for city outages however for a vacation house it would be nice to have a backup generator. It was not pleasant spending the night without a/c or water in 97 degree weather. Also be prepared to pay additional for electricity, spent an extra $45. We thought we were being cautious with turning off lights and a/c but I guess it wasn't good enough. Good communication via email with Elizabeth who was point of contact for the property.

A truly amazing place to stay
My wife and I traveled with two other couples and a single lade from San Jose to Granada for our most recent visa renewal. After searching Trip Advisor for several days, we decided on Casa Agua Luna. I don't think we could have made a better decision! Things you need to know: 1.The house location. The walk from the house to the Central Park is about 10-15 minutes depending on how quickly you walk and it there are no turns from the house to the central park. If you arrive to Granada via Tica Bus, the house is 3.5 blocks from the bus stop. There is a few places next on the same block to by water, soft drinks, etc. 2. Cleanliness When we arrived, the house was immaculate. The maid (Alejandra) was there cleaning when we arrived and she was there each morning for several hours cleaning. She was a great lady (Spanish only). She cleaned and was always willing to clean anything we asked her to clean. Each bedroom and bathroom were clean. 3. Bedrooms The three bedrooms downstairs are all quite nice. They are plenty spacious all with there own private bath. Two bedrooms with double/queen beds and one bedroom with two twin beds. My friends said all the beds were quite comfortable and the air conditioners worked great. They did say a few of the shower heads sprayed water a little crazy (so, it might be time to change those out), but the water was nice and hot and never ran out. The master suite upstairs was enormous. The king size bed was dwarfed by the size of the room. The bed was very comfortable. The bed frame, head board and side tables were all made from solid concrete, but you wouldn't know unless you touched it. We thought it was a good feature. There are two fans in the master bedroom and a t.v. with cable and a DVD player. (The cable was a little fuzzy) The master bathroom, again huge. The toilet and bidet had it's own room and the jacuzzi and showers were great. (There was a problem with the drain plug in the jacuzzi, but with after working with it for a few minutes, I got it to work for the time being. Management should probably try and fix that, but not really a big deal.) The double vanity was nice and the master closet was quite huge and had enough room and hanging space to hang an entire wardrobe. There was a separate air conditioning unit for the bathroom and master suite. The loft outside of the master suite over-looking the pull was really nice with four wooden rocking chairs. 4. Other rooms The den/living room was quite nice. Another reviewer said it was kind of stuffy. No one in our group said it was stuffy. There was no air conditioner, but when the door to the courtyard and the window in the door to the street were left open, it created a nice breeze. There was also a fan above the couches. There was one couch (each end with a recliner built in) one love seat (both sides reclined) and one recliner. The tv was very nice, large and clear. There was also a DVD player and a small collection of DVD's. 5. Kitchen The kitchen was quite nice. It had everything you need to cook a great meal. The stove had 6 burners. There was a large 5 gallon jug of water available and all it took to replace it was a quick phone call and two dollars. The dining table had sitting for 10. 6. The pool and "isalnd" The pool was amazing. It really made you want to just stay in it all day... which we did. We left each afternoon around 4:30 when the sun was going down. The pool is larger than it looks in the pictures. The furniture on the "island" were all very comfortable. Overall: It was an amazing experiences. A few IMPORTANT things. 1. A previous review stated the wireless connection was only in accessible in the den. The router is now positioned by the dining table and is a great router. We could access the wifi ANYWHERE in the house. 2. Electricity. Be aware, you will probably have to pay an extra amount for the electricity. Probably nothing extravagant, but something. We stayed for 3 nights. We only used the air conditioning in the rooms when we slept and at the end of our stay, we ended up paying $18 extra dollars. Nothing crazy, it's just note worthy. 3. Elizabeth and her team at GPS were great. Even if Casa Agua Luna is to big or not what you are looking for, contact her about any of their properties and I am sure you will not be disappointed.

Words Can Not Describe!
Casa agua Luna is a fantastic home in Granada,Nicaragua!... The gardens , the kitchen , the bedrooms , and the unbelievable pool! We enjoyed every moment in this luxury home , especially our morning coffee , watching the sun come up over the pool. We used the pool every day and especially loved to sit in the living room area , by the pool. The staff-housekeeper , gardener , pool boy- were all excellent. The rental agency , GPS , was very attentive and helpful. The house is a comfortable walking distance from the center. Our only regret was that we could not stay longer!!!

Holiday in Granada
We arrived at Casa Agua Luna and were blown away as we walked through the property. The home is beautifully appointed! The master bedroom suite was huge and the master bath had every amenity! The king bed was very comfortable and each of the four bedrooms had its private air and also fans. The kitchen could in all honesty use some new small appliances the coffee maker and toaster were tired and the fridge did not work well. The stove was wonderful. The living room with the tv really should have air conditioning very hot and claustrophobic and because the Internet router is in this room you have to be in it or very close to get wifi. This was the only disappointment. We we're not able to get a signal by the gorgeous pool or in the bedrooms, if that could be changed it would be very helpful as we still had to work while there. We would highly recommend this property as it is well laid out for privacy or large gatherings! Rachel our maid was very good at her job and a sweetheart I would hire her myself !! Elizabeth at GPS rentals was very helpful and always responded immediately to any concerns. We can't wait to come back!!!

Lovely Villa
I stayed here as a member of a group called World Vets. We were veterinary surgeons in Granada to teach surgical techniques to veterinary students from all over the world. The staff tolerated weird hours, strange requests and bloody clothing without even raising an eyebrow. The villa is beautifully maintained, large and quiet. It is an easy walk to the markets (local and Americanized) and the central plaza. Loved it!

Oasis in the city
Incredible house with garden/pool. Large kitchen area. Upstairs bedroom is amazing with view of volcano. Laundry room with dryer and clothesline. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. Short walk to town center. Local woman one block away sells grilled meat with gallo pinto/plantains wrapped in banana leaves a couple nights a week.

A wonderful surprise for a last minute find!
We stayed at Casa agua Luna with our family after my husband had a surfing accident and we had to rush to the city. Not wanting to stay in Managua, we looked around for places in Granada. We had a large group, and this house slept all of us. The location is great, walking distance to everything, but quiet and off the main square for mellow evenings. There is a garage for your truck, internet, tv, and a full kitchen, so we had everything we needed. Only thing that some of the guys mentioned is that the living room area is pretty closed in and not a/c, so it was pretty hot to watch tv while relaxing...not necessarily a bad thing as it tended to keep more conversation going in other areas of the home! All in all, a wonderful house, and we would recommend it to anyone.
