Beautiful shotgun style house with a nice yard is a wonderful place to stay. Near the canal rail line, it's a great way to get around the city. I'd recommend it to any large groups who like to explore the Crescent City.

Midcity charming was great!.. the space and privacy is a plus.. you are minutes away from everything and very convenient to any event that is going on. My friends and I really enjoyed having the space and not being clunked up in a hotel ..

About the neighbourhood
Centrally located without being in the middle of everything. Several billion dollars of new construction hospitals have gone up 5 blocks away. The neighborhood is mixed-income. If this is your first time in New Orleans or don't know how to handle yourself in an urban non-tourist area, maybe reconsider. However, if you know that you don't need to walk down every dark alley and know the major roads, you will have no problem.
Getting around
0.9 mile walk to the French Quarter. $1.25 and 10 minutes from my home to the French Quarter by street car. $5-10 and 5 minutes by cab to get back. Short drive or bike ride to Mid-City restaurants and shopping.
