First off thank u 2 Susie + Nick. Very nice people who do a good job welcoming U to their condo in Batu Ferringhi. The condo is nice and spacious with ample room for 4+ ppl. The pricing is where I would differ on. US$ prices converted to Malaysian Ringgits, which are very favorable to the dollar don’t equate to value for the dollar. One other thing, the signage outside the complex has pricing for rentals, and much to our chagrin did not add up. All in all not a bad pad,but look around and equate value to your currency. My suites are privately owned and of a high standard and not the same as those advertised in the sign outside that you mention which are managed by an agent and not an owner. They are of a very much inferior standard and you would most certainly not want to stay in one of those apartments! The pictures shown are of the actual unit that you stayed in. Exceeded all expectations!
We rented Susie's apartment on the 21st floor of the Sri Sayang apartment complex. The apartment itself was just beautiful - spacious, clean, exceptionally well-equipped with everything a family could need. The beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious, bedding is of excellent quality. There is a safe for valuables. The beach is close by, only a short walk from the apartment. The lift is super quick - 21 floors down only took ten seconds or less! The pool is beautiful and clean, a great temperature for cooling down after being out in the heat/humidity but not too cold, and there's a kids' pool which was much appreciated by our five year old. The little shop in the apartment complex is handy for last minute items, and we dined several times at the Violet House Cafe. (The lady serving there even delivered our meals to our room at no extra cost.) Susie was out of the country during our stay, but her manager Nicholas, was extraordinarily helpful - he settled us in when we arrived, and provided invaluable assistance throughout our stay, including ordering us a Grab driver, and allowing us to keep our luggage in the apartment until we had to go to the airport at 3pm. The apartment itself is very well located. It feels slightly out of the 'main drag', but it's only a few minutes walk to everything you could need. And the bus stop right outside is a blessing! We'll absolutely be back to Penang, and we have no doubt that this will be the apartment that we choose time and time again.

Everything you need for a family stay
Beautiful, clean 3 bedroom apartment fully equipped with everything you need for a family stay – 2 bathrooms, washing machine, wifi, plenty of crockery, travel cot. Nice ocean view from the balcony, and extremely close to the beach and main strip.
Problem with water heater shorting all electricity very quickly sorted by Susie, who was friendly and courteous.
Pool was clean, with a baby pool and changing room, though not many sunbeds. Opening hours: 9am-7pm with a dress code and the occasional monkey.

Bra lägenhet att ordna fixa med allt själv...
Stor fin lägenhet med 3 sovrum och 2 toaletter med dusch, perfekt när man reser med 3 stora tonåringar (19 år). Mycket trafik från den stora huvudvägen som måste korsas för att komma till stranden, trafiken upplevde vi som mycket störande när man ville sitta på balkongen ( 21:a våningen) och njuta av den fantastiska utsikten!!!
Swimmingpoolen var både för liten & oftast belägrad med ca 20-25 barn + föräldrar till dessa barn.
Det fanns ENDAST 4 solstolar!!! så det var mycket dåligt!!
Vi valde att gå på stranden men..... då fick man inte ligga precis där man ville, helst inte framför hotell Rasa Sayang, vilket blir det närmaste för oss ....Näe, då skulle man gå längre bort så man fick bada vid jetski....mycket dåligt!!!
Återkommer gärna till Malaysia men kanske inte till Penang....utan till en ö med ett lugnare tempo & snorklingsmöjligheter!

Spacious, well equipped, nice sea view (particularly sunsets)
3 bedroom apartment fully equipped with everything you need for a family stay. Nice ocean view from the balcony, we had breakfast there every morning. View of sunset at night. Nearby amenities. Pool can get crowded during school holidays.

Excellent apartment
We booked this apartment through TripAdvisor and were e mailed by Susie who was very helpful. We arrived in Penang and sent a text to Susie who gave us directions and met us at the apartment. She was very helpful showing us everything and giving advice about what to see and eating in the area. The apartment was immaculate and clean throughout. It was very well appointed, with a large lounge and dining area with huge LCD TV with satellite channels. The kitchen had every appliance you need with coffee machine, toaster kettle, microwave and large fridge freezer and a water filter machine on tap. There was also a utility room with washing machine and dryer with washing soap provided. There was a large balcony with the most outstanding views of the bay and sunset every evening. We were 21 floors up so those with small children would need to be very careful. The apartment block had 3 very fast lifts and a service lift if using the very nice swimming pool, if using the pool was your possessions as monkeys came and tried to steal our sandals. The centre of the resort is very nearby with the most fantastic street food eatery at Long Beach food centre every night and very cheap. For those that like western coffee like us there is a Starbucks also. The beach path is right across the road from the apartment. Also very handy are bus stops right outside on both sides of the road handy for going into Georgetown. There are a few small supermarkets nearby a good one being Lee Grocer mart. If More shopping is needed there is a huge Tesco on the bus route into Georgetown.
I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone and would return if in Penang.

Exceptional apartment with outstanding view close to amazing beach
We stayed at Susie's apartment for one month and called it home. And what a home! It was well appointed with all the amenities including kitchen and cooking needs. The apartment was modern, very spacious and clean. The large patio provided a million dollar view and we enjoyed numerous wonderful sunsets.
A convenience store in the complex provided for our every need, including well priced wine.
The apartment is a half block from a beautiful clean beach and within easy walking distance to some of the best restaurants and hawker stands in the area. The bus to Georgetown stopped in front of the property and taxis were a half block away.
Susie, the owner, is a very caring,warm and accommodating person with a great sense of humour. She went out of her way to make things available for us and to ensure our comfort. We miss her already.
The only downside to the property, and no fault of Susie's, was that lounge chairs around the pool were few and mostly broken. We understand that new chairs are on order.
Thumbs up to Susie and we look forward to our next visit. We highly recommend this apartment and loved our Malaysian adventure!

5 star accomadation in a 2 star building
We booked this apartment as an alternative to the resorts to save some money and give us a bit of room with my mum joining us and our 3 kids.
I must point out this review is for the apartment on the 21st floor owned by Susie Troup. There are others but based on the standards of the building I can only recommend the apartment I stayed in.
To start with, Susie provides great service, and is very prompt in her emails and booking process.
The apartment itself is stunning! just brilliant, it is large enough for 10 people id say with heaps of room in the master bedroom, for a matress etc. The rooms are all air conditioned, with fans. All three rooms have a view. The furnishings are very nice also. The kitchen is well stocked with tea/coffee and milo for the kids etc, Susie has washing powder, soap for the dishes everything has been thought of. I must admit these small touches made our stay very comfortable. The apartment down to each spoon was imacculate. The balcony provides amazing views of the sea and the main strip of shops in batu ferrenghi.
the only downside (and for me this was quite a downside, although not for my wife , mum or kids) is the quality of the pool, and the general building. it was pretty awful, my son needed to go to the bathroom at the pool, and it was horrible. This turned me off the pool a bit too. The location is not bad but is not in the heart of the action, easy walk with or without kids. The beach is very nice across the road and down the alley beside the rasa Saya resort.
Overall a great apartment and i say stay there, but definately not for the whole time you are in Penang. I mixed it up with the Parkroyal which I will review seperately.
P.S for airport transfers I would recommend booking through Ocean Jupiter.

Would definitely recommend this apartment as it had everything we wanted and was first class.
We stayed in the apartment for 7 days and it was fantastic .We were very pleased on our arrival.to Penang The owner had organised transfers from the airport to the apartment which was fantastic. The apartment was spacious, spotless with qood quality furnishings, comfortable beds and a wonderful shower. Everything worked well eg air con, fans washing machine etc and the views from the balcony were brilliant. There were fruit,coffee and biscuits awaiting us which we thought was very welcoming. Susie the owner could not do enought for the 4 of us and made us feel very much at home. I would certainly have no hesitation is recommending this apartment to anyone

Excellent value for money
This apartment is very well appointed. It was great value for money as we were travelling with 2 young children and our parents. It is convenient for everything especially with the rapid bus going from outside the door. A couple of people have mentioned previously that Susie's flat was excellent but the building itself was a bit shabby but it would appear that this has been addressed (the building was being painted while we were there). The only thing I would have liked in addition was an information guide in the apartment explaining a few things (how the hot water worked, where to get a tourist bus pass). A lovely stay in a lovely place

Batu Ferirnghi, situated along the coastal road north-west of Georgetown and lined with a string of international-standard resorts, is the most popular beach in Penang.
Soak in the sun or unwind on the beach while you enjoy a host of aquatic thrills from wind-surfing to canoeing. For a spine-tingling adventure, try para-sailing to enjoy the view of the beach from the sky. Horse riding is available as is jet skiing and the usual beach pursuits for the adults and children.
As the sun sets, Batu Ferringhi comes alive with a carnival-like atmosphere with an open-air bazaar selling anything from ornate curios to enticing souvenir items. Watch local artisans demonstrate the intricate art of craft-making and batik-painting. Dubbed the Ferringhi Walk, the bazaar offers shoppers a host of attractions.
The bazaar is held every evening of the year along the footpath that runs on either side of the main road that winds its way through Batu Ferringhi. Many bargains are to be had for the smart shopper, so make sure that you do bargain the price as that is what you are expected to do. Stalls sell everything from clothes, DVDs CDs, jewelery and other local and imported handicrafts.
