Interaction with guests
We are just next door, so on hand in case you need anything, but we're certainly not 'in your face'! The owner of Avalon Nook is a renowned author and forager; if you with to take a foraging tour, this can usually be arranged.

A very convenient and lovely place with superb garden and general facilities including log fires Only criticisms were poor shower and no access to water downstairs. But the place was just a bit special and would be happy to stay again.

About the neighbourhood
The house is located on a small lane that leads straight up into the mountains of the Brecon Beacons. The closest town, Brecon, which has lots of shops and a farmers market, is just 3 miles away. Groessfordd, in the opposite direction, is a mile and a half away, again with a great pub, The Three Horseshoes, which won Best Pub in Wales in 2019. A little further away at 6 miles is the renowned Felinfach Griffin. This is trekking country, good for all levels and abilities. There are lower level walks along the Brecon and Monmouth Canal which runs through the village.
