The Top Floor at Cantref house is a self contained spacious one double bedroom accommodation. It has 4 star rating from Visit Wales Tourist Board. Situated in the heart of the Brecon Beacons, the Flat is at the top of Cantref House and benefits from its own entrance, accessed via 26 outdoor steps. It is brightly decorated with a quirky feel. Great views of the beacons including Pen y fan from the lounge, bedroom and balcony. There is an information room which has a telescope, leaflets maps etc on the local area with views looking across to the Black Mountains. Cantref is a particularly special area due to its location in the national park, Walks of all levels are in abundance from the door step, including the highest peak Pen y Fan. Brecon has a theatre, cinema, Cathedral concerts, monthly comedy nights along with a selection of different places to eat.More

The Flat is not really suitable for very young children due to the staircase - but from 10 years old should be fine. Ask for details. Parties are not allowed and if noise could be kept to a minimum after 10pm will be appreciated. Sorry No Smoking, No pets.

Wonderful peaceful stay

About the neighbourhood
Cantref is within the Brecon Beacons National Park where there are many square miles of unspoiled countryside. There are local pubs and restaurants, takeaways etc. offering food to suit all budgets. Plenty of choice of outdoor activities - be kayaking, sailing, hill walking, cycling etc. Cantref House is located just 1 mile from the Taff Trail National Cycle route.
Getting around
Ideally its best to have a car - but there are various bus routes and trains to Abergavenny or Merthyr Tydfil which are both 20 miles away. Walks from the doorstep are in plentiful. You can walk to the village (Llanfrynach) about 1 mile or into Brecon - about 4 miles.
