We spent two weeks at Villa Graciosa and we have to say, we had a wonderful time.
The villa itself was great. Very spacious, ample room for 4 of us, 6 people would also have plenty of space.
The villa was very clean, well maintained, ‘full of amenities,’ technology, all quite modern and high spec.
The TV was a god send, all channels available, I particularly enjoyed watching the Ashes. It was good for the children to chill with ‘out of the sun!’
The pool was great, perfect temp, not huge, but by no means small. It had a deep end too which helped our youngest who was learning to swim! The pool has the sun all day too.
We had some friends staying in a villa in Carlos park and the came around a few times with their two boys and again, there was plenty room for 8 of us.
Also, any issues we had, example: our ceiling fan was a little noisy, were resolved very quickly. An engineer came within a few hours, was unable to fix the problem, the owners of the villa then came with a temporary fan, then a new ceiling fan was installed 2 days later.
There was someone on the end of the phone all the time. Very impressive.
The villa, for us was perfectly situated. A 15 mins walk to the nearest beach/shop, flamingo beach, another 10 mins to the harbour. And another 20 mins then to the Marina. However the marina is quite a walk in the heat but worth it for the market, bars and restaurants.
Having said that, taxis are very cheap. €5 from the marina, €3.50 from the harbour.
There are plenty of places to eat in Playa Blanca, nice beach side bars in flamingo bay, the Irish Anvil is also good for wholesome pub grub, plenty of restaurants on the front near the town and some more upmarket restaurants on the marina. There is also another smaller bay about 10 mins walk from Flamingo Beach called Natura Beach which is very laid back and has a few places to eat. Including a Greek restaurant, an Italian and an Argentinian steak house.
Imagine India was a restaurant we visited twice. Excellent curry restaurant right on the front in the harbour.
Beach wise, there are two lovely man made beaches. Flamingo bay, quite small but popular and Dorada beach, bigger, and more to do (banana boats etc)
All in all we were very impressed by everything the villa and the area had to offer and would love to return one day.
