Carter's Lodge is our beautiful one-bedroom cottage which opened February, 2011. It is a small bungalow and is attached to Drover's Barn. It sleeps 2 people in a double bedroom with an en-suite wet room. There is also a comfortable living area and new fitted kitchen. This property is ideal for 2 people or for additional space for larger families that are staying in Drover's Barn. It is also suitable for wheelchair access and guests with mobility problems. It has under floor heating and an electric fire. There is no connecting door to the Drovers Barn. About the neighbourhood
Malpas is a lovely little town just minutes from Millmoor Farm. It is set high up on a sandstone ridge with a picturesque church and castle mound. There are great views over the Dee Valley into Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire, just yards from the High Street. There is a newsagent, post office and town small supermarkets (both stay open until 10pm), plus a farmshop, bank, café, restaurants, pubs, gift shops, pet shop, electrical shops and grill works. Millmoor Farm is also on the Marches Way footpath and we have even designed two circular walks to do on our farm. The sandstone trail is about a mile away and we are also situated just off the Cheshire Cycle Route. There are several National Trust properties to discover in the area, including Erddig and Little Moreton Hall. However, the ...
