We stayed at the Ballfields Barn for 3 nights 7-10th June 2018. Firstly the accommodation is 1st class, so comfy with all the mod cons you could ever dream of. The barn itself has been beautifully converted, decor is lush and the woodwork is spectacular....More

Thank you Brown family for your great review of the Barn. We love where we live, we never tire of the views. We are so fortunate to live next to a nature reserve, so many lovely birds, woodpeckers particularly.

About the neighbourhood
The characterful market town of Leek lies at the heart of the Staffordshire Peak District. Steeped in history with links to William Morris and the Arts and Crafts movement. Leek is a lovely town to explore. Don't miss the fantastic weekly markets held for more than 800 years. The unspoilt town centre is a refreshing change from modern shopping malls, it offers plenty of individual retailers and has some unique speciality antique shops. You will be able to explore huge Victorian mills, formerly silk mills but now housing antique centres and traditional and contemporary art galleries.Leek also has many popular supermarkets: Waitrose, Sainsburys, Morrisons, Asda, Aldi and the Co-op,or get your order delivered.
The lovely Rudyard Lake has been a favourite beauty spot for visiting familie...
