We had a lovely stay here. Carmen & Tino were friendly hosts and despite the language barrier, we felt very at home. Most days were spent by the pool, which we mainly had to ourselves (the pool is shared with 2 other villas but to be honest, it felt like it was just ours!) A trip to the beach is only 5 mins drive away, but I preferred the peace and quiet at the villa. The villa is situated near the mountains and the sun rose above the mountains at 9:30am each morning - perfect for a sunny breakfast. We were very blessed with the weather. The villa itself had everything we needed really, although we did need to pick up a few basics like washing up liquid, soap, condiments and washing powder for the washing machine etc. There was satellite TV but not very many English channels. The villa had sunshine in the morning on the terrace. By 14:00, the terrace was shaded but this suited my husband well who was studying and could sit and read his books with a lovely mountain back drop without the sun beaming on him! However, the pool has sunshine all day which suited me well! Puerto de Mogan is only five mins away - this is a lovely Harbour town with a beach and restaurants! There is also a Spar there to pick up groceries. Parking can be a bit of an issue and its a case of driving around to find a space! I have to say we visited Puerto de Mogan 5 times during our stay and 3/5 times we parked on the road - the other 2 times we payed at the Car park which wasnt too expensive. This is a great place to come if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of busyness. You will need a car though to get to Puerto de Mogan and also if you want to explore the Island. There is a bakery across the road though, for those morning breakfasts! The villa is situated on a main road so during the day, you can hear traffic but to be honest, this was not really an issue and wouldn't stop us coming back. Their main roads are a lot different to our main roads! I think a little more information provided in the Villa for guests eg: the WIFi code, where to put the bins out, local shops, restaurant tips etc would have been useful, especially as there is a language barrier. It was a bit of a case of us finding our way a bit but luckily for us there were another British couple staying nearby so they helped us with info etc! That being said, Carmen was ever so friendly! She met us at the meeting spot and escorted us to the Villa when we arrived, and provided us with fresh eggs and fruit! Thank you :)
