Ich hatte das Appartement Alo für 5 Tage gebucht und freute mich auf eine erholsame Zeit. Was mich allerdings für 100 € pro Tag erwartete, war nicht diesen Preis wert: der Duschvorhang sollte dringend ausgetauscht werden- verdreckt-, aus dem Wasserhahn im Bad spritze das Wasser in alle Richtungen, die Kopfkissen konnte ich nicht als solche bezeichnen, kein Wasserkocher, die Auflagen für die Sonnenliegen bestanden aus alten Auflagen, die mit schon verschossenen Tüchern eingewickelt waren, Sitzkissen für die Holzgartenstühle gab es nicht, das Licht recht funzelig. Die Ruhe war sehr positiv!
Schade, es hätte so schön sein können.

Perfekte Unterkunft in ausgezeichneter Lage
Für unseren zweiwöchigen Lanzarote-Urlaub war die Casa Aloe ein absoluter Glücksgriff. Die Ferienwohnung hat nicht nur Charme, sondern ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Im abgeschirmten Garten-/Terassenbereich haben wir die Abende gerne ausklingen lassen. Uga ist perfekt gelegen, um die Insel zu erkunden und bietet von der Unterkunft aus fußläufig Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Wochenmarkt, Supermarkt) sowie Restaurants. Meera ist eine herzliche und unkomplizierte Gastgeberin, die uns bereits im Vorfeld mit vielen guten Restaurant-Tipps versorgt hat. Wir haben uns hier sehr wohlgefühlt und können die Casa Aloe uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!!!

Something special off the beaten track.
I can confirm the positive reviews and the photographs on the website to be true. The Casita Aloe is beautiful furnished and uga is (by car) a perfect starting point for all kind of journeys and sightseeing throughout the island. We stayed there for 11 nights in June 2018 and got to know Meera and her staff as very friendly and caring. Compared with typical tourist accomodation it is truly something special.

Schöne, stimmungsvolle Unterkunft - abseits der Touristenzentren
Wir waren über Silvester eine Woche in der Casita Aloe. Eine wirklich prima Unterkunft, die von der Eigentümerin Meera sehr stimmungsvoll und authentisch gestaltet und eingerichtet wurde. Alles war so wie beschrieben. Die Lage in Uga ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt um die Insel zu erkunden. Ideal, wenn man wandern will. Der Ort ist ruhig, vom Tourismus (zum Glück) noch wenig berührt. Kleine Einkäufe kann man im Supermarkt im Ort erledigen. Für den Großeinkauf liegt der nächste Supermarkt in Macher, ca. 10 Minuten mit dem Auto, also kein Problem.
Meera hatte uns viele gute Restaurantipps übermittelt, von denen wir viele genutzt haben. In Uga zum beispiel Casa Gregorio und Restaurante Juan. Wer Freude an Wein hat, ist in Uga richtig, da direkt am Ort die Weingegend La Geria beginnt und man in wenigen Minuten die Bodegas erreicht (z.B. Chupadero, etwas gehoben im Preis, aber wirklich sehr leckere Tapas).

A Quirky and Nice place to stay
We stayed here just before Christmas and were generally pleased with the accommodation but did feel that there were needed improvements.
We were not particularly lucky with the weather, windy and wet for a couple of days which meant staying in and colder conditions especially at night. For this reason we were disappointed that there was no back up heating ie storage or electric fires to supplement such conditions. It was necessary to wrap up and make the most of things.
Furthermore, the cooking facilities in this particular unit were basic with only two cooking rings and no electric kettle only pans to boil water.
Meera the owner was most pleasant but it was disappointing we did not meet her to talk through such matters which we had tried to do but circumstances prevented her from visiting us.

Sehr geschmackvolle kleine Unterkunft!
Wenn man in einem ruhigen, kleinen Ort im Landesinnern wohnen möchte, ist die Casita Aloe für zwei genau das Richtige. Die Unterkunft wurde mit viel Liebe und Geschmack ausgestattet und gestaltet. Der kleine, von Mauern umgebene private Innenhof lädt zum Frühstücken und zum Verweilen ein. Ein paar Lokale, kleiner Supermarkt und eine Busanbindung (Arrecife - Playa Blanca) sind fußläufig erreichbar. Nach Yaiza und La Geria kann man wandern. Die Besitzerin haben wir leider nicht persönlich kennengelernt, aber die Kommunikation per Handy/E-Mail hat prima geklappt, und sie kümmerte sich umgehend..

A perfect retreat
We stayed for 4 nights in September and loved this perfectly decorated and arranged studio. The patio garden was small but perfectly formed and was such a lovely place to sit that we often decided to eat in and enjoy our private garden, rather than dine out. Meera was a perfect host. She was always quick to respond and was warm, friendly and very helpful. There was a small problem with the water on our last day which she resolved within an hour. We very much enjoyed staying in Uga - a pretty little village which was very peaceful.There are two restaurants within walking distance and a small local supermarket for basics. We would love to return and would recommend this to any couple.

relaxation
My apt was very comfortable and private.Set in a quiet peaceful setting but only a short and inexpensive bus trip away from the main city and resorts. Meera was very hospitable and kind and organised my bicycle hire and taxis when required. I will hopefully return next year.

We loved the fact this apartment was away from the busier resorts, but was centrally located so was easy to get about in a car. Apartment was lovely, really nicely decorated and Meera, our host, couldn't have been more welcoming. Would definitely recommend if you're considering Lanzarote.
