Lovely well equipped villa. Mike and Wendy live next door and were both extremely helpful and very attentive, always on hand making sure both the pool and villa were clean and answering a questions we had. We made good use of the pool during the hot days. Air conditioning is available at an additional cost, however, we found simply leaving the doors open to the main bedroom was suffice. No mosquitoes either ! The villa is situated 10 minutes drive from PDC - 12€ in a taxi. We spent most nights at PDC enjoying the many bars an numerous restaurants - all tastes and budgets catered for. Well worth a visit to the White Lion Pub, cheap and cheerful, with two cocktails just 7€. A very enjoyable holiday spent with our 15 year son.

Fabulous Villa and beautiful people!
We have visited Mike and Wendy's villa on numerous occasions over a number of years. The Villa is absolutely fantastic. Tastefully and rustic in style in decoration. The photographs do not do it full justice in terms of the location and views that are available at the Villa. It has everything you require for your stay. It is located within walking distance from the centre of Tias and within 7 min drive from Puerto del Carmen. Wendy and Mike provide a fabulous welcome pack and are easily contactable should you have any questions or requirements, nothing is too much trouble and they are so friendly and such nice people, we always miss them when we leave. We will continue to visit Casa Maja for the foreseeable as we consider it our favourite place to relax but more importantly because we love the people connected to it.

The photos and description doesn’t do this place justice. It’s simply amazing !
From start to finish Mike and Wendy make your booking process so simple and easy, any queries, any questions and Mike will get back to you ASAP, they even book a hire car for you if you want one which I would recommend and it’s with a good reliable company.
The Villa is about 10 to 15 minutes away from the airport and Mike emails you a perfect description of how to get to the Villa with photos as if you’re driving up the road with the signs.
The villa itself is immaculate with everything you could possibly need or want for your entire stay. The pool is beautiful, it’s heated so you can stay in there 24 hours a day which my granddaughter tried to get me to on numerous occasions… Mike and Wendy live next door, which might put some people off, but please don’t let that happen. They are fantastically warm and welcoming people and on arrival meet you and give you tour of the Villa show you how everything works and then leave you to enjoy yourselves… Oh and there’s a lovely welcoming hamper so you can relax and chill out and not have to rush off to the shops…
The Villa is in a lovely quiet area and not overlooked by anyone so it’s perfectly peaceful yet your within 3-4 minutes drive from the HyperDino a very well stocked supermarket, a chemist and a few lovely quiet taverns. 15 minutes away is for me the best resort area in the island

Hosts, Mike and Wendy, met us on arrival and supplied a meal even though it was a delayed flight and provided essentials to start us off.
The villa lived up to expectations with all home comforts. Nothing was too much trouble.
It was very comfortable and spacious and the pool was the icing on the cake.
We were a party of 6 with 3 generations and all had a great holiday.
Mike and Wendy were very friendly and made us feel very welcome.
Would highly recommend this villa.

These were 3 weeks of real vacation! A beautiful house decorated with taste (thank you, Wendy), where everything worked (thank you, Mike). Mike and Wendy are the perfect hosts: discrete, but helpful and generous. With what they left in the fridge at our arrival, we could survive 2 days without going to, any shop. Thanks to you we could enjoy our stay on Lanzarote for 100%.

Begin november 2011 hebben we met 6 volwassenen genoten van een heerlijke vakantie op Lanzarote in Villa Casa Maja. We werden door eigenaar Mike goed ontvangen met een lekker drankje en tips t.a.v. de bezienswaardigheden en goede restaurantjes op Lanzarote. De villa is een echte aanrader met alle luxe die je je wenst tijdens een onbezorgde vakantie. Het voordeel is, als je met 6 volwassenen komt, dat ieder stel een eigen slaapkamer, badkamer en toilet ter beschikking heeft.
De tuin biedt volop privacy om heerlijk te luieren en baantjes te zwemmen in het verwarmde zwembad. Via Mike hadden we vooraf aan de vakantie al auto's gehuurd, die bij het vliegveld klaar stonden. We hebben hier veel plezier van gehad en alle leuke plekjes op het eiland gezien.
Tot slot nog enkele restauranttips: Emmax in Playa Honda en een zeer romantische plek vind je in Playa Quemada waar verschillende visrestaurantjes liggen direct aan zee. We hebben hier een heerlijke visschotel gegeten.

Mike had van tevoren een auto voor ons (5 personen...
Mike had van tevoren een auto voor ons (5 personen) gehuurd, waarmee we vanaf het vliegveld naar het appartement zijn gereden (reisduur tussen de 5 en 10 minuten). Mike had een uitgebreide beschrijving gemaild en het was zeer makkelijk te vinden. Het is wel handig om voordat je de villa verlaat even te checken hoe je vanaf de villa op de grote weg komt (of via google maps uiteraard) en vervolgens weer thuis komt (als je vanuit de andere kant dan die van het vliegveld komt).. aangezien alle witte huisjes nogal op elkaar lijken :)
Als je bij de villa aankomt, rij je op de oprit eerst langs het huisje van Mike zelf, en door nog even door te rijden kom je bij de deur die leidt naar een patio. En deze leidt weer tot zowel de voordeur van het huisje van Mike als de villa. Maar je hebt wel 100% privacy, de villa is door de patio gescheiden van zijn eigen woning. De villa is echt helemaal super: een grote woonkamer, keuken, 3 slaapkamers met elk een eigen badkamer en uiteraard het zwembad waar de hele dag de zon op schijnt. En als je weg bent, kan het zeil er overheen waardoor het water zo rond de 30 graden blijft.. erg lekker dus! Verder is in de villa alles aanwezig wat je zoal op een vakantie 'nodig hebt', meer dan dat eigenlijk. Zelf koken kan ook prima indien gewenst.
Qua ligging is deze villa ook super, aangezien je ongeveer midden op het eiland zit en 30-45 min nodig hebt om zowel op het meest zuidwestelijke als noordoostelijke punt te komen. Erg overzichtelijk dus!
Kortom, de villa is echt een aanrader en mochten we nogmaals Lanzarote bezoeken, zouden we zeker weten deze villa weer boeken.
