My wife and I are retired. We love to travel having been to many of the national parks in the states and Canada. .
During the 1950's I spent 6 summers at a summer camp in Algonquin Park tripping extensively by canoe and portage through the interior. As a young man I took at least 4 other interior canoe trips one of which I would categorize as extreme.Since then I took my son for 11 years in a row beginning at age 5 for our annual camping trip to Algonquin Park during which we camped at various campgrounds as well as short trips into the interior. My wife and I also stayed at one of the lodges on 3 different occasions.Hopefully I can transfer some of my love and knowledge of Algonquin Park to the next generations. I still would like to take 1 or more short canoe trips into the interior, but a bit more tame than those I was on in the 1950's and 1960's.
Now that I am 75 years young we recently relocated from West Bloomfield Michigan, to Royal Palm Beach, Florida in October, 2015.
